The BG-E11 battery grip is designed for using specifically with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera and accepts one or two Canon LP-E6 batteries. With two batteries installed, your shooting time is effectively doubled. This is especially useful when taking advantage of the camera's Movie Mode, Live View Mode and other operating modes that consume more power. The BG-E11 is equipped with an alternate shutter-release button,AE-L/AF-L button,and main dial for shooting in a vertical position.Using it will effectively extend your shooting time and enable shooting in the same fashion as a horizontal grip.
